WOYWW 246

Before I go onto my desk can I just take a moment to say "SORRY" to the ladies who left comments on my last WOYWW post. Things changed for me almost overnight and I was unable to reply so please forgive me, it is not what I would normally do.
I am really happy to be re joining WOYWW 246 I think it has to be the best ever idea to share your crafting journey, and thank you to  Julia Dunnit at Stamping ground for creating such a happy creative place for us all to play.

Now to my desk..

My desk today has quite a lot of cross over goodies. I have been busy for the past week or so altering things. My new project is going to be using some of what I have already used but with a few additions, wax distressing and grunge paper being 2 of the additions.
My son is 30 in March and I want to make him a keepsake boxed album. It will be all hand made even the vintage pen nibs will be hand made. I am so looking forward to this project.
My 3 previous posts show what I have been up to this last week . no links but  feel free to look.

After almost no crafting over the last year to throwing myself into it full on. I  must say I am loving every moment of it.
I know this is only a short post but I am sure you will all understand, as you like me, will have many desks to visit. The next few hours are going to be so much fun for me looking at all of your lovely desks. I am going to do my best to visit you all............

  14. Wonderful gift for your son--my mom made me a photo album when I turned 40, and had a photo from each year. It was quite an undertaking, though not nearly as crafty as yours!

Thank you for the visit this woyww, Nelle!

    1. Thank you Margaret, I have made a promise to visit every desk this time as the last time I was on I was unable to visit many. I felt very guilty as people took the time to comment on mine but I didn't get to return the complement. I am sure it is going to take me a couple of days but visit and comment on every desk is what I will do.
I look forward to seeing more of your blog, xx Nelle

  35. I absolutely love your steampunk alterings, Nelle! You are so creative! I've just been reading some of your recent posts and I am so very sorry to hear what a rough time you've been having of late, but what a blessing to have family to take you under their wing in your time of need. I hope the future continues to be rosy for you, and that you are able to fulfil your creative gifts. I know what it is like to have ongoing health problems, and how wonderfully therapeutic art and craft can be, especially in enabling one to place one's focus somewhere else than on how one is feeling!!

Thank you for such a sweet post about little Beatrice! She will be flattered to know that loving tears were shed on her behalf in Blogland! We are so relieved that she's going to be OK. Today she seemed a bit more lively, and actually came downstairs to be sociable when some friends called in. She's been through such a lot lately, with 2 general anaesthetics for problems with her teeth (now sorted) and then another for the lumpectomy. What amazes us is how forgiving and sweet she is with us after we've put her through all this, and she hasn't made a fuss at all about having to wear the little frilly dress! Beatrice is a complete one-off - a real little character and we've never had a kitty quite like her! Please give your kitty Polly a stroke from me!

Keep smiling, and happy belated WOYWW,

  39. Sorry to be so late returning your visit, have only been able to visit a handful of desks this week so taking the opportunity that a Saturday morning gives to catch up a bit. I love altered art and the work shown on your desk is fantastic, especially the sewing tine and what a star, making your own pen nibs, I'm amazed.

  44. Oh wow, Nelle. You have some lovely images on your desk. I see some rub-n-buff, too. Haven't seen any of that in years. Thanks for the Wednesday visit. I'm running late this week because of more power outages, this time accompanied by loss of my phone and internet. Happy belated WOYWW from #3.

  45. That is some project to make every single bit of it, and I really look forward to seeing the finished article. Don't worry about missing out on visiting. We all have weeks when everything falls apart. As you might gather from my posts, I do love all things Clarity. They are quality, and listen and respond to their customers, which is something unusual these days. Hope you have a good week. xx Maggie #97
